When Things Get Foggy....

On October 30, 2022. Jay and I had a party in Tuscaloosa AL. It was a successful event. When leaving the event, we drove into fog, but this was not your typical fog. It was thicker than thick. This is something that Alfred Hitchcock would write about in one of his mystery novels. That type of fog that looks like you can cut it with a knife. It was to the point I literally could not see. If it wasn’t for the reflectors on the roadways, it would have been difficult to maneuver to our destination. It was in that moment I knew exactly who to call on when things get foggy!

Before we left, we prayed for traveling grace. Once hitting the fog, we prayed again. This time I was very specific and asked God to lift the fog higher so it wasn’t on the roadway, and I could see my way better. I asked him to give me new vision. I asked God to be with my mind, my hands, and my feet. I asked the Holy Spirit to drive the car because I literally could not see anything. We were coming close to turning on a road that would have us about 25 minutes from our home. I remember confessing out loud, “Jay, when we turn on this next road it is going to be clear.” It was ludicrous to believe this because in front of us, there was no indication of clear skies, but I believed by faith that it has to be clear when we make this turn.

GOD DID JUST THAT!!! We made that final turn, and it was like the light at the end of the tunnel was visible!! We shouted with praise!! GOD, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! No more fog!!! It had gotten so bad that I considered pulling over, but by faith WE KEPT GOING!!!

Remember in the word it says, “we walk by faith and not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7. Once upon a time in my life I asked myself if I was a sight driven believer. Did I have to see it to believe it? I know that I must have faith. I know faith is beyond sight. To me faith is like supernatural sight. You see it but you don't see it. Take a moment to ask yourself if you walk by sight or by faith.

I want to ENCOURAGE you that when things do get foggy you know who to call. I did not call my mother or my closes friend, because they could not help me. The only person who could help me, who could see ahead of me, the only one who could see that the fog was there was our father! Our Heavenly Father! Then the Holy Spirit who lives in me I had to ask Him to drive because it was impossible for me. I couldn’t do it alone.

When things get foggy because they will get foggy. Know who you should call on. I chose to call on the one who everything belongs to. The earth and the fullness thereof! Psalms 24:1. I chose to call on the one who sends angels out before me. Exodus 23:20. I chose to call on the one who made the end before the beginning. Isaiah 46:10. He knew me, and He knew about the fog before he placed me in my mother's womb. Jeremiah 1:5. That is who I chose to call on and HE made the road clear. HE took away the fog! HE made it visible for me to see and because the Holy Spirit lives in me, HE was the one who drove the car. It was nothing I was doing because at that point I had put all my trust in God! All of it! I want to encourage you once again, to remember that when things do get foggy in your life and you can't see, know who you should call on!

LET’S E.A.T!

Before you can feed others, you must feed yourself! Get in the word. God is waiting on you to E.A.T with Him.

I love you
