All Hands Matter

How often have you read the care instructions on the tags of your clothes before washing them? Lately, the items of clothing that I'm ready to wash say "hand wash only." Hand wash only? When looking at the item I'm literally saying to myself, "this isn't going to be destroyed in the washing machine. This isn't delicate." Isn't it funny how we measure something by how it looks to us. The maker of the garment believed that it could be easily destroyed in a machine, but could likely maintain its beauty, shape or color by being washed by hand. GLORY!! I literally just received revelation on how God looks at us. That's why God is the potter and we are the clay. His hands could only mold us in the image of him. No machine needed. Hands only! Isaiah 64:8 says But now, O Lord, You are our Father, we are the clay, and You are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.
Our hands have been getting some much attention in this season. Wash your hands, sanitize your hands, no touching hands, etc. There is something about our hands that reveal who we are. In the bible the word hand appears 1,466 times. Each of our hands have an unique identity. No one has the same hand or fingerprint. That in itself leaves me speechless. He made us to be uniquely individual!
First and foremost God should receive the first worship with our hands. Gods word says in Psalms 134:2, lift up your hands to the holy place and bless the Lord!
Next we must understand that God holds our hand, Isaiah 41:13 promises For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, "fear not, I am the one who helps you."
Then God gives us instructions for what to do with our hands. He puts it plainly in Psalms 90:17, Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish WORK of our hands upon us; yes, establish the WORK of our hands. Once we've worked with our hands we are guided to understand that now in Psalms 128:2; you shall EAT the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be blessed and it shall be well with you.
What a mighty God we serve! Sis, I encourage you to look at what's in your hand. What are you doing with your hands? Does it give God Glory? We are good at lending a hand, but sit for a moment and treasure the hands God gave you, now ask Him what should you be doing with your hands.
Your hands matter sis!!!!
